Two features 'A Canary, a Crow' and 'Unwanted' have hit Iranian home market last week.

Directed by Asghar Abdollahi, 'A Canary, a Crow' is a 2017 production starring only two actors, Habib Rezaei and Hengameh Qaziani.

The film, bearing a social theme, depicts the life of a couple with some matrimonial problems.

Once got angry, the husband shoots his wife and injures her eye. The husband's family and friends warn him that the wife is looking for an opportunity to revenge. They live an awfully silent life, but ultimately the silence should be dealt with.

Directed by Borzou Niknezhad, 'Unwanted' has a social theme as well.

"Good and bad events occur frequently; we have to deal with the life path properly to avoid the events from rerouting us from our path. We want to keep away from sudden unwanted happenings, but  some of the unwanted rule our destiny," a short synopsis for the movie reads.

Produced in 2013, the movie's cast list includes Mahtab Keramati, Mehrdad Seddiqian, Setareh Eskandari, Mohammad-Mehdi Faqih-Monfared, Farhad Qaemian, Elnaz Habibi, and Mohammad Seyyedzadeh.
